Description and lore
A mobile growth of fungus drags tendrils through dead leaves and rotting wood. Its slow work becomes dangerous when living travelers crowd too close.
Pale threads disappear into dead wood and softened leaves. The slow movement follows the dark matter breaking apart beneath them.
Where the growth has passed, bark folds under its own weight. The living undergrowth stands beyond a scatter of old decay.
