Repaired pages lie beside possessions kept for use rather than burial. The work has outlasted the hands that began it.

Effect - Signature: Rend Burst (Unholy); Phase; Regrow. At 0 Resolve combat ends normally. If its intact vessel remains, it reforms after d6 days; never during this encounter.
Counterplay: Find the vessel to make defeat permanent. Neither vessel nor regeneration confers universal immunity.
Relationship: Sentient adversary; no automatic Wicked One status.
Dry fingers turn a page that has been repaired many times. The sorcerer looks up, more irritated by the interruption than your drawn weapons.
