Companion Handler
Effect: When your Affinity critical actually kills or defeats its target and unused damage remains after that target’s defenses and Hope/death resolution, apply that remainder once to another target legal for the original attack, including its original range and line of effect. The new target resolves a fresh appropriate defense and its own type effects, buffers and Hope/death. Transfer only the unused damage; do not reroll or duplicate resource-funded dice or riders. Hope that prevents defeat or death prevents this carryover. This Technique grants one transfer, not an automatic chain or extra Action.
The defeated foe sinks as the fighter's gaze finds the next nearby threat.
