Use: Action · Touch; a hand-sized portion of an unattended nonliving object · Instant · 0 Mana
Effect: Soften the touched portion so it can be bent or manipulated with ordinary tools during this Action. It retains its material and cannot become liquid. Resolve meaningful work with the appropriate Skill; the spell does not automatically open locks or complete crafting. At the end of the Action the material hardens again, retaining any physically possible alteration. It grants access to working the material, not free success.
