Lore and observations

A library gains identity from what people have chosen to keep. A weathered route map or a copied commission may be more useful than a wall of unrelated volumes.

The source of a record matters. Marginal notes, missing pages and careful cataloguing give researchers something concrete to examine without making the collection know everything.

Rules and details

Description

An answer may already exist, if someone kept a record of it.

Requires

Requires: A dry quiet room; books, maps or records with an established subject and origin.

Construction

Construction: 12 suitable Common resources (120g); 2 Workdays, or 170g expected installed value; 2 G maintenance per 30 days.

Effect

Effect: Stores and makes supplied records accessible to four researchers. Obvious information is available without a roll; Cunning resolves a consequential uncertain search using the relevant source and normal TN or concealment. A purchased book contains only its stated contents. It does not teach a Technique automatically, invent absent lore or make forbidden information universally available.

At the table

A page whispers against the table; one map has been unfolded far more often than the rest.
