Description and lore

Magic Chamber

A separate practice room gives casters clear space, controlled access and a safe working direction.

Lore and observations

Open floor, protected work surfaces and a place to lay out a Focus distinguish the chamber from a household room. Everything has been arranged around deliberate practice.

Its value is separation from ordinary household traffic. Ventilation, sound construction and agreed use make deliberate magical work easier to accommodate in a lived-in holding.

Rules and details

Description

A practice space can separate a dangerous lesson from an occupied hallway.

Requires

Requires: A separate room with controlled access, ventilation and a chosen safe practice direction.

Construction

Construction: 12 suitable Common resources (120g); 2 Workdays, or 170g expected installed value; 4 G maintenance per 30 days.

Effect

Effect: Gives four casters a separated space for lawful practice and the normal pre-bed Focus attunement period. Its enclosure is d8 / Integrity 3 where substantial; effects can damage it normally. It provides no Focus, ritual permission, mana reduction, recoil prevention, automatic Ward or protection from effects that bypass its physical enclosure. Occupants still need explicit casting permission.

At the table

Chalk marks stop at the threshold; beyond them, the practice floor has been cleared.
