Long runners carry a sleigh's passenger bed across suitable snow or ice.
A sleigh belongs to the condition of the route as much as the season. Packed snow, fitted harness and a driver who can see the way give it purpose.
Its marks are different from a wagon's: polished runner edges, a long track behind the team and snow caught in every joint.

Effect: Maximum 20 feet, limited by team, on suitable packed snow/ice. Four seats including driver. Bare ground or deep impassable drifts require hauling or a changed method. Runners and hitch replace required wheels; steering still uses ordinary Maneuver.
