Description and lore
Seaweed
Long seaweed ribbons provide wet-weather fibers for lashings and woven containers.
Lore and observations
A coastal harvest has the textures of water and drying plants: slick fronds, salt on stone and bundles laid above the tide.
Prepared strands bend around the rim of a half-finished basket. The maker keeps the remaining seaweed close, sorting lengths as the weave develops.
