Description and lore
Tough kelp roots are prepared for straps, seals and water-resistant containers.
Their branching shapes make a distinctive specimen beside smoother seaweed fronds. Cleaned roots show where a maker can separate useful fibers.
A fitted seal or bound vessel illustrates their purpose better than an ornate display. The work belongs naturally among waterside tools.
