Description and lore
A mermaid scale is set aside for protective fittings and water-breathing charms.
Reflected colors move across the scale's curved surface. A loose specimen occupies little space but deserves a protective wrap among harder tools.
A fitted seal or small charm keeps the material's form visible. Beside it, ordinary water and travel equipment ground the intended craft.
