Running Swan Maiden

Prepare the scene

A swan steps into the shallows. A moment later, a person stands there, looking toward the belongings left on the bank.

An intelligent shapeshifter moves between humanoid and swan forms. The same watchful individual looks out through both expressions.

Establish the surroundings, each participant’s position, and what the party can perceive before resolving the encounter. Use the current core rules for surprise and turn order when combat begins.
