Description and lore
Sasquatch
A towering, shaggy forest humanoid watches strangers from the trees. It would rather drive intruders away than fight, but its heavy hands make a close confrontation dangerous.
Lore and observations
Broad footprints collect rain beside the stream. High on the cedar trunks, fresh knocks mark a route that never quite joins the road. Forest workers learn to distinguish a falling branch from the measured answer of wood struck against wood.
A Sasquatch knows the paths around its shelter and the places where a person must turn sideways to pass. Its warnings begin at a distance: a knock, a stone landing short, a shape deliberately stepping into view. Some speak a few carefully chosen words. A party that listens may be allowed through; one that corners it has made a different meeting.
